Definition
A privacy policy is a statement or legal document that discloses some or all of the ways in which a party collects, uses, discloses, and manages customer or client data.

Maintaining a robust Privacy Policy is crucial. However, with the stricter regulations that came into effect on May 25, 2018, as an online retailer, you must precisely know what personal data you collect and allow other parties to process. This isn’t always straightforward, as you need to consider not only how you handle data but also how other companies do this on your behalf.
The term “GDPR” is essentially a collection of strict rules that you, as an online retailer, must adhere to. “GDPR” stands for General Data Protection Regulation, and in Dutch, it is referred to as “AVG” or Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming.
